Feni makes it two in a row
MKK Feni Industries won its second straight game in group B of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The team hosted KB Trepca in Kavadarci and led from start to finish to take 72-54 victory. A good run in the third quarter gave the home side a double-digit advantage and and they held on after that. It′s a second home win for Feni who now stand at 2-1 record while for Trepca this is second away defeat as the team is now at 1-2. In the next round Feni will visit Sutjeska while a week later Trepca will host the same team.
The hosts started well and took 12-4 lead after four minutes but then Trepca answered. The visitors cut the deficit and after that stayed close. In the second period they even took the lead when Samir Zekiqi scored a triple but Feni responded with 7-0 run to restore the advantage and keep it until the break.
A 10-0 run in the third quarter opened up the game for the hosts. After it the lead reached 15 points and they controlled it. From that moment on the home side never allowed Trepca to come close and eventually got a big win.
Feni scored 7 triples from 23 attempts compared to only 3 from 20 for the visitors which proved to be a big difference.
Kiril Nikolovski had another good game for the winners as he posted a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds. George Sharabidze also did well with 18 and 9 as Matija Ceshkovic had 9 points.
Frederic Stutz was the top scorer for the visitors with 16 points. Mise Diminic had a double-double with 15 and 11 rebounds as Nikola Ljujic added 13 points.
