Domestic leagues: Bashkimi and Peja keep winning, Sigal ousted Trepca

KB Bashkimi and KB Peja continued without a defeat in the Kosovo league. The team from Prizren visited Rahoveci and won 79-60 for six straight since the season started. It wasn′t a good first quarter for the visitors who were down by 2 but after that they stepped up and cruised on for the victory.

Marko Popovic was the top scorer for the win with 16 points while Imer Tahiri added 15.

Peja had a very easy game in this round and defeated Vllaznimi 113-57. The players of Aleksandar Todorov dominated throughout and won every quarter for a big difference. Alban Veseli finished with 23 points and 7 rebounds, Arti Hajdari scored 15 points and Rron Grapci added 13 for the win.

The derby in this round was in Mitrovica where visiting KB Sigal Prishtina defeated KB Trepca 74-59. The hosts had the better in the first quarter as they were up by 5 but from then on the champions took control and took important victory.

Malcolm Rhett was the top performer for the winners with 21 points and 5 rebounds while Jabarie Hinds added 12 points. For the home side Besnik Azemi had 15 points and 6 rebounds as Frederic Stutz added 11 points.

Bashkimi is the current leader in the standings with 6 wins and no defeat while Peja follows in second with 5-0 record and game in hand. Sigal Prishtina moved to third place with 3 wins and 2 defeats while Trepca is back in fourth with 3-3 record.
