Three in a row and first place for Sutjeska
KK Sutjeska recorded its third straight win in group B of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The Niksic team hosted MKK Feni Industries and took 79-71 victory after leading from start to finish. With that win Sutjeska is first in the standings of the group with perfect 3-0 record while Feni is second with 2-2. Next week Sutjeska will visit Trepca while Feni will host Karpos Sokoli in the Macedonian derby of the group.
After an even first five minutes of the game, the hosts made a great run of 13-1 and suddenly went up by 11 points. Sutjeska kept leading after that but in the second period the visitors managed to come close and even took the lead. The hosts then answered with 6 straight points and at the break were up by 4. A great 11-0 run to start the second half took Sutjeska′s advantage to 15 and held a good advantage after. Feni started the fourth period with 10-2 run to close the gap to just 6 points but the hosts responded with 4 straight and held on for the victory despite all the efforts by the visitors.
Marko Perovic was the top performer for the win with his 21 points and 8 rebounds. Djoko Salic also played well with 18 and 8 while Jermayne Thomas added 11 points.
Kiril Nikolovski had another good game for Feni as he finished with 19 points. Vukota Pavic also played well with 16 and 9 rebounds as Matija Ceshkovic scored 11 points.
