Great offense leads Teodo to an impressive win

KK Teodo recorded an impressive win in the fourth round of group A in SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The team from Tivat hosted the leader Beroe and took 93-80 victory after a very good performance in offense. The visitors in the same time had their run stopped and suffered the first defeat of the season in the competition. For Teodo meanwhile this is the second straight victory which puts the team at 2-1 record. Next week the Tivat team will host Bashkimi while Beroe will visit Kumanovo.

The teams exchanged points and leads early so no one could pull away. The first to do so was Beroe after a 5-0 run to end the first quarter took the advantage to 6 points. The visitors increased the advantage to 10 early in the second but 19-5 run for the home side put them up. They managed to hold on until the break and led by 3 points after 20 minutes. 

A triple by Djurisic took the margin to 9 points just before the middle of the third quarter but Beroe answered with 12-3 to tie the score. The hosts though didn′t panic and did even better as in the final minutes of the period finished with 13-2 run to lead by 11. In the final ten minutes the hosts managed to control the difference, didn′t allow Beroe to come close and finally cruised on for an impressive win.

The difference between the two teams was the 2-point shooting. The hosts shot 61% on 21 made of 34 attempts while Beroe was only 16 of 34 for 47%.

Radomir Marojevic had a very good game for the winners with double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds. Milos Popovic also did very well with 21 points and 5 assists while Petar Kusovac had 18 points.

Tihomir Zhelev was the top scorer for Beroe with 18 points as Stjepan Tesija had 16 and 7 rebounds.
