Good offense leads Feni to third home win

MKK Feni Industries recorded its third straight win at home in group B. The Kavadarci team played KK Karpos Sokoli 2000 in the Macedonian derby of the group and managed to take 85-70 victory. The home side led from start to finish and despite the fact that the visitors erased few times a big deficit, Feni held on the last time and won. With that result the Kavadarci team has 3-2 record so far and is with a very good chance of reaching the Second Stage while Karpos is at 1-3 and has a lot of work to do. Next game for Feni is on December 7th when the team will visit SK Tirana while Karpos will travel to play Sutjeska next week.

Feni had the early lead but it was never bigger than 4 points. So it was normal that the first quarter finished with difference of 2 but a good start to the second put the hosts up by double digits. They made an 11-2 run to go up by 10 points and then held on for a good advantage. Karpos however finally responded by scoring 9 straight points to take a single point lead but Sharabidze made two free throws and Feni was up by 1 at the break.

Feni led by 5 just before the middle of the third quarter when the team made an 8-0 run to increase the advantage to 13 points. Once again though the visitors didn′t give up and with good finish to the period managed to close the deficit to just 5 points. With the first offense of the fourth quarter the gap went down to just 2 points. Again though Karpos couldn′t catch up with the hosts as Feni made an 11-0 to go up by 13 and that decided the outcome.

The hosts played very well on offense ahd made 15 triples for 30 attempts and 15 of 28 shots for 2 points. Karpos was only 6 of 25 from the 3-point line which turned out to be the decisive factor.

Vukota Pavic had very good game for the winners with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Kiril Nikolovski also did well with 18 and 6 while Boban Stajikj had 12 points. 

Darko Sokolov was the top performer for the visitors with 15 points and 5 assists. Dragan Labovic added 14 points as Zoran Vrkic had 12.
