Domestic leagues: Beroe took an important victory

BC Beroe took an important victory in Bulgarian league. The Stara Zagora team hosted Rilski Sportist and won 88-72 at home to move to second place. WIth that result Beroe now has 4 wins and 1 defeat and is behind Lukoil Academic who is at 5-1.

An 11-0 start of the second quarter put Beroe up by 15. In the third Rilski cut the deficit to two points twice but the hosts answered with 10-1 to finish the third period and held on until the end.

Tihomir Zhelev and Shane Gibson had 20 points apiece for the winners while Omari Gudul added 17 and 8 rebounds.
