Domestic leagues: Revenge for Sigal Prishtina, easy for Peja and Trepca

KB Sigal Prishtina hosted KB Bashkimi in the derby of Kosovo league this weekend and took revenge for the last in the first round of the season. The champions took 100-84 victory after playing good offense and better defense when it mattered. 

Sigal started well and in the middle of the second quarter went up by 17 points. Bashkimi however fought back and cut the deficit to only 5 at the break. In the final minutes though the hosts again increased the advantage and handed Bashkimi′s first defeat in the competition.

Bojan Trajkovski was the top performer for the win with 31 points and11 rebounds while Malcolm Rhett also did well with 22 and 14. The best for the visitors was Kejuan Johnson with 28 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds as Ermin Jazvin had 14 points and 10 rebounds.

The new leader KB Peja had an easy outing after defeating Ylli 97-77 at home. The Yellows led from start to finish and had no trouble recording its sixth win. 

LaMarcus Reed had a great game with 33 points and 5 rebounds while Alban Veseli had 17 and 8.

KB Trepca also had an easy contest after beating Vllaznimi 98-65 away. The visitors quickly took control of the game with an 11-2 start and cruised on until the end.

Samir Zekiqi was the top scorer for the win with 19 points as Frederic Stutz had 13 and 6 rebounds.

Peja remains the only unbeaten team as now the team has 6 wins and two games less. Bashkimi is with 6-1 record and has one postponed match with Peja. Sigal Prishtina has 5 wins and 2 losses while Trepca is with 5-3 so far.
