Trepca outperforms Feni for a third win
KB Trepca recorded its third win in group B of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The Mitrovica team hosted MKK Feni Industries and led from start to finish to take 70-45 victory. The visitors lacked the necessary energy in the game and were outperformed by their hosts who showed more power and desire to bring joy to their fans. After that result Feni has 4-3 record while Trepca is with 3-4. On December 28th Feni will host KB Peja while Trepca′s next match is on January 11th against the same opponent.
It was a slow start as both teams struggled to score early. The first to do something different were the hosts who scored 11 straight points to go up by 12. Stajikj hit a triple for Feni just before the first quarter ended but that didn′t change anything. Trepca continued to play better in the second half, increased the advantage even more and led by 16 at the break.
Trepca continued to have the lead in the third period as Feni′s offense never clicked. The visitors played poor in their attacks and did numerous mistakes which led to easy points for the hosts. After the end of the quarter they were up by 23 points and the game was already decided.
Montrael Scott was the top scorer for the win with hist 15 points off the bench. Samir Zekiqi and Besnik Azemi (8 rebounds) also did well and scored 12 apiece.
The only player in double figures for Feni was Boban Stajikj with his 12 points. Generally though the team struggled in offense and never got going.
