KB Trepca may lose the rights to continue in BIBL

Unfortunately, before the end of 2016, the Sports Director of SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League was forced to take a difficult decision for KB Trepca future as part of the competition.

With big disappointment, we have to inform you officially that KB Trepca may forfeit their right to participate in season 2016-2017 of SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League as they failed to fulfill their obligations towards us.

After numerous requests by the club management to postpone major part of their financial obligations due to various issues they stated and the permission granted by the BIBL with the knowledge and support of Kosovo Basketball Federation in order to support them being newly joined team, unfortunately KB Trepca have already p?ssed all the deadlines.

We are very thankful to Kosovo Basketball Federation especially to Mr. Erolld Belegu himself who has been doing all he could together with us to solve and prevent this unpleasant situation we all have been put into.

Everybody is happy with KB Trepca performance until now, the atmosphere in the hall in Mitrovica and the club hospitality. However, KB Trepca and their management took obligation the same as the rest 11 clubs and they must go for it. 

We do respect all our participants. We do treat everybody equally. We do have the will, and so have we done it lots of times, to support the request of any of our teams in order to help them and the National Federations.

On the other hand, we cannot accept that one club will misuse our good will towards them and will take advantage up of the others one way or another.

As today 30.12.2016 - the last working day of the year, KB Trepca failed to continue to proceed with what they have requested, the last deadline for them to stay member of the SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League season 2016-2017 is 6th January 2017 - Friday, 14:00 CET.

Afterwards, the League shall consider KB Trepca expelled from the competition with all the consequences to them according to the Official Regulations.

We do sincerely hope that nothing from the above-written will be necessary eventually.
