Huge first quarter leads Teodo to a great win
KK Teodo started in a great fashion the Second Stage of SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League. The team hosted KB Peja in the first group D game and won 104-84 after a good offensive display. The home side did the big damage in the opening minutes when they opened a huge lead which was kept until the end. After that game both teams now have the same 1-2 record. Next week Teodo will host Karpos Sokoli while Peja will play at home against Kumanovo.
Teodo got off to a fantastic start and led by 19 points after just six minutes. The hosts continued to hold on to its advantage in that first quarter as it finished with 18 points in their favour. Teodo controlled the game in the second period and never really allowed Peja to come close. Still the visitors closed some of the gap but it was 13 points when the first half was over.
The hosts kept leading in the third quarter and the advantage was still good. Peja was trying to cut the deficit and it came down to 10 points but after 30 minutes it was 12. In the final period the visitors cut the gap to 9 but Teodo answered in a perfect way and after quick 9-0 run the game was decided.
Petar Kusovac performed well for the hosts and finished with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Milan Stanojevic added 19 points and 5 assists while Milos Djurisic had 16 and 6.
Alban Veseli was the top scorer for the visitors with 19 points while Noah Dahlman added 18.
