Peja holds on Teodo at home
KB Peja finished the Second Stage with a win but it wasn′t enough to finish in second place in group D. The Yellows defeated KK Teodo 75-70 but the Montenegrins remained ahead because of the 20-point victory in the first game between the teams. They finished tied with a 3-3 record the the team from Tivat has the edge.
Peja had a great first half which gave the team a chance to hope for the second position. An 11-2 start showed how the things would be and the difference reached 13 points after only ten minutes. In the second period Peja continued to play better and at the break increased the advantage to 22 which was enough to overcome the opponent.
Teodo came out different in the third period when a much improved defense helped the team cut its deficit. The visitors finished the quarter on an 8-2 run to close the gap to just 10 points and killed Peja′s hopes of a big victory. Moreover in the final minutes Teodo cut the deficit even more but the hosts held on for the win.
Robert Abramovic was the top scorer for the winners with 18 points. Noah Dahlman had 11 and 11 rebounds as Leonard Mekaj scored 9.
Radomir Marojevic was the top performer for the visitors with 24 points and 6 rebounds as Sreten Knezevic added 14 points.
