Domestic leagues: Beroe completes another playoff sweep

The SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League champion BC Beroe reached a third final for the Season 2016/2017. The team from Stara Zagora managed to complete playoff sweep in the semifinals after a victory No.3 over Cherno More Ticha, 94-64.

 

Beroe earned an early double-digit lead in the first quarter, and just never looked back. A great shooting night for the team of head coach Lubomir Minchev -  12/23 (52%) from beyond the arc, completed with a rebound domination – 52-25.

 

BIBL MVP for the 2016/2017 Shane Gibson came off the bench due to a sore ankle but still led his team with 16 points. Brandis Raley-Ross also had 16. Aaron Jones added a double-double – 13 points and 14 rebounds, while Stjepan Tesija (10 boards) and Tihomir Zhelev finished with 10 points each.
