Domestic leagues: Beroe registers defeat in Game 1 of the finals

BC Beroe registered a defeat in Game 1 of the finals of the National Basketball League in Bulgaria, 81-96.

The team from Stara Zagora went ahead by 42:39 at half time, but the Reds soon took the lead and never looked back. Aaron Jones registered a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds in losing effort. Brandis Raley-Ross added 17, while Omari Gudul had 8, just as much as the SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League MVP Shane Gibson.

The best-of-five playoff series continues on Wednesday (24^th of May), with a Game 2 again in the Sports Complex in Pravets.
