Blokotehna closed out the year in style
Year 2017 in SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League finished with a win for KK Blokotehna-NB. The Gevgelija team visited SK Tirana in the Albanian capital and had a convincing 92-67 victory. The visitors finished well the first quarter and controlled the game after that. Blokotehna continues to share the top position with Rilski Sportist as both teams have 6-1 record while Tirana is fourth with 2-5 but also with one game more.
It was an even start to the game but after Blokotehna finished the first quarter with an 8-2 run to go up by 7. That gave the visitors enough confidence to start great the second period as after a 14-4 run the difference reached 17 points. Until the break their advantage went over 20 points and then the second half was just a formality.
Dwayne Benjamin was once again the top scorer for Blokotehna with his 18 points. Danilo Mijatovic scored 15 points as Anton Kazarnovski had a very good all around game with 12 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists.
The hosts were led by Endrit Hysenagolli who finished with 19 points. Gerti Shima also did well with 15, 8 rebounds and 6 assists while Vladimir Brchkov scored 12 points.
