Domestic leagues: Levski Lukoil won a drama with Rilski Sportist
BC Levski Lukoil took the big derby of the weekend in Bulgarian League. The Blues visited Rilski Sportist in Samokov and won 73-72 in a dramatic fashion.
Both sides fought hard for the win from the start and offered an entertaining match. With less than a minute to go Rilski was leading by 6 but two triples by Bozhidar Avramov tied the score. Then the hosts missed a chance to go up and Stanimir Marinov was fouled. After he made a free throw with 12 seconds to go the hosts again had an opportunity to win but Zlatin Georgiev missed.
Marinov was the top scorer for the winners with his 18 points adding also 6 assists. Bozhidar Avramov added 16 points as Pavlin Ivanov scored 12.
Travis Taylor led Rilski with 14 points as Zlatin Georgiev had 13 and 8 rebounds.
After that game Rilski has 11 wins and 4 losses while Levski is with 10-4 record and a game less. Akademik Bultex 99 didn′t play in this round and is fourth with 9 wins and 5 defeats.
