Tirana leads from start to finish to reach the playoffs
SK Tirana is the last team to qualify for the playoffs in SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. That was confirmed after the team defeated KK Ibar 95-65 at home to finish sixth with 3-9 record. The Montenegrins end the season with just one win in 12 matches but they would′ve been qualified if they had won the contest in Tirana. In the playoffs the Albanian champions will play against Levski Lukoil.
Tirana started strong and scored the first 9 points of the game. After that they never looked back and led until the end. They managed to increase the lead to 15 points at the end of the first quarter and in the second Ibar played good offense and even cut the gap by 2. Shortly after the break however the game was decided as the hosts started the second half on a 16-2 run which ended all hopes the visitors may′ve had.
Endrit Hysenagolli had another double-double and finished with 26 points and 16 rebounds. Gerti Shima had a triple-double with 16 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds as Vladimir Brchkov had 15 points.
Eldin Kalic led Ibar with 16 points while Nedim Felec and Armin Kalic had 14 apiece.
