Asen Nikolov: Bashkimi punished our mistakes

Akademik Bultex 99 came really close but couldn′t overturn a 13-point deficit from the first game against Bashkimi. Here is how the coach of the Plovdiv team Asen Nikolov saw the game and the reasons why that didn′t happen: 

"We had few opportunities to keep the bigger difference but we made some mistakes and Bashkimi punished us and deserved to go through.

The players had the desire but probably in some moments there was too much pressure on them. I think the big desire really played its part as I′ve never seen our team making such an easy mistakes. Bashkimi managed to punish almost each one as they have 24 points off turnovers which is a lot.

In a game like this it′s necessary to not let the emotions come in to you and not make mistakes like that. We also missed a lot of free throws which also reflect at the end. In a game like this every single point is important."
