Semifinal 1 preview: Blokotehna and Levski Lukoil will open the Final Four
The Final Four of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League will start in a few hours. The first semifinal sees KK Blokotehna-NB taking on BC Levski Lukoil at 15.00 hrs local time in Samokov (14.00 CET). The match will be broadcast LIVE on BNT and SportMedia.tv.
Blokotehna will be looking to reach the final in its first ever season in the competition. To do that the team has to come up with its A-game like it did earlier in the season. The head coach Marjan Ilievski will count a lot on the experience of Mijatovic and Kazarnovski who have to lead the team on the court. Of course Blokotehna will rely a lot on Dwayne Benjamin as well who was one of the top players in the competition during the Regular season. The team has also Goran Glavchev, Marjan Mladenovic, Shakir Smith and Cedrick Bowen who need to step up and perform to their top if the Macedonian side is to have a chance.
On the other side Levski has a much deeper rotation which can be very useful for the two days. The Blues are really well rounded team and have a lot of weapons. Under the basket they rely on Clanton, Milosevic and Gudul while on the outside we can see Nikolov, Ivanov, Avramov, Marinov and Bryant. These are the main performers that coach Papazov is counting on but there are others who can also step up. Levski is a team that is build to win a championship but to do so it has to play at 100% because there is no room for mistakes.
