Domestic leagues: Levski Lukoil lost the derby, Akademik won away
The run of 11 straight away wins for Lukoil Levski came to an end in the last visit of the regular season. The Blues played away at Balkan and lost 71-79 a hard fought game. The home side managed to pull away in the second period when they made a 20-5 run. At the break the difference was 7 points and the hosts managed to control the game in the second half.
Bozhidar Avramov had 21 points for the visitors as Nemanja Milosevic added 15.
BC Akademik Bultex 99 recorded an away 103-81 victory against Spartak Pleven. At the break the home side led by 2 points but in the third quarter the visitors showed their superiority. After they scored 31 points in ten minutes, they managed to take a 13-point advantaga and the last quarter was just a formality.
Dimitar Dimitrov was the top performer for the winners with 27 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Nikola Maravic also did well with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
With one round to go Levski Lukoil, Balkan and Akademik are all tied for the first place with 40 points while Rilski is fourth with a point behind.
