Domestic leagues: Levski, Akademik and Rilski start the playoffs with wins
BC Levski Lukoil started the playoffs in Bulgarian league with a win. The Blues hosted Cherno more in the first quarterfinal game and took 93-67 victory. After one quarter the hosts were up by just 6 points but increased the advantage to 20 in the second and had no trouble after.
Omari Gudul and Kris Minkov had 13 points apiece as Nikolay Stoyanov and Pavlin Ivanov had 12 each.
BC Akademik Bultex 99 also started with a win after downing Yambol 94-75 at home. The match started with the hosts playing better and managing to build a good lead. They had control for the whole time and left no doubt for the final outcome.
Nikola Maravic had 19 points for the win as Dimitar Dimitrov added 17.
BC Rilski Sportist had the toughest time but still managed to defeat Beroe 91-81 at home. The Samokov side managed to make a 13-2 run in the third quarter to take a 10-point advantage after being down before that. That was the key moment as until the end they kept the difference.
Travis Taylor had 25 points and 12 rebounds for the win as Yordan Bozov scored 16.
