Akademik Bultex 99 will have a new coach

Asen Nikolov will no longer be the head coach of Akademik Bultex 99. He will continue to work for the club but will be the General Manager.

The management of the club confirmed that Nikolov will change his position due to personal reasons. So far no new head coach has been appointed but that will happen in the next few days.

Nikolov was at the helm of Akademik in the last few season as he led the team to some good results. Last campaign is regarded as the best one in the history of the club as it reached the semifinals of the Bulgarian League and the Cup. The team also made its debut in international competition in the Balkan League but came just short of qualifying for the Final Four.
