Domestic leagues: Academic Bultex 99 lost a high-scoring thriller in Botevgrad

BC Academic Bultex 99 suffered a defeat at the start of the third stage in Bulgarian league. The Plovdiv side visited Balkan and lost 99-103 in a very high-scoring affair. 

Both teams stared scoring big from the first minutes as the visitors were the ones who had a slim lead. However Balkan was close and that continued until the fourth quarter. At one moment the hosts started nailing triples and took an 11-point advantage. Academic managed to cut it to just 2 but there was no time for more.

Vasil Bachev had a great game for the visitors finishing with 34 points. Troy Franklin had 20 as Peter Olisemeka added 18.

After this round Academic is 5th with 8 wins and 9 defeats while Beroe, which didn′t play, is second with 12-4 record.
