Domestic leagues: Beroe wins away, important one for Academic Bultex 99

BC Beroe consolidated its second place in the Bulgarian league after downing Academic Sofia 103-86 away. They started perfect and led 40-19 after just one quarter. However after that the visitors plated more relaxed and allowed the home team to come back to single digits. In the end however the more experienced players of Beroe led The Greens to the victory.

Aleksandar Yanev was the top scorer for the winners with 23 points as Nikolay Stoyanov and Terrence Jennings had 15 apiece.

Elsewhere BC Academic Bultex 99 made an important step towards the fourth place in the standings. The Plovdiv team defeated Rilski Sportist 81-71 away as is now just one win behind its opponent but also with a game in hand. A 7-0 run to end the second quarter gave the visitors 11-point lead at the break. After it they continued to have the advantage and cruised on to take the victory. 

Peter Olisemeka had a great game for the winners finishing with 28 points and 13 rebounds while Vasil Bachev had 18 points.

After this round Beroe is in second place with 15 wins and 4 defeats while Academic is 5th with 9-10 record.
