Domestic leagues: Defeats for Blokotehna and Kozuv

KK Blokotehna′s run of wins in North Macedonian Superleague is now over after the team lost to the leaders MZT Skopje 75-90 at home. After a close first half the visitors decided the outcome in the second. Being up by 2 at the break they did well in the third quarter and the lead reached 9 points. In the final ten minutes Bloko had no chance for a comeback and eventually lost.

Kenet Funderburg had 23 points for the home team as Petar Nikolikj and Brandon Penn added 16 apiece.

In the meantime KK Kozuv was very close to beating the champions and cup holders Rabotnicki but lost 79-85 at home. At the break the Gevgelija side was up by 6 points but a good third quarter gave the visitors a 2-point edge. With three minutes to play the difference was just 3 points but Rabotnicki managed to keep it as Kozuv missed its chances.

Igor Kesar had a great game for the hosts with 25 points and 13 rebounds for a double-double. Nikola Karakolev added 16 points as Payne added 15.

With three rounds to go Blokotehna is tied for third place with Gostivar with 19 wins and 8 defeats as Kozuv is fifth with 13-14 record.
