Ibar spoils Rahoveci′s home debut for another win
KK Ibar recorded its second straight win in the Balkan League and it once again came in an away gym. The Rozaje team visited KB Rahoveci and took a 77-74 victory in a hard-fought and close game. It also spoiled the home debut of Rahoveci and in the meantime was the second defeat for the team in the first game of the new head coach Marjan Ilievski.
Ibar started well and had the early lead but thanks to a 9-2 run the home side went up after the first quarter. In the second though the visitors did very well both in offense and defense and it showed on the scoreboard. They started it with a 16-3 run which gave them a 10-point edge and they kept the advantage until the break. Ibar controlled the game in the third quarter and kept the distance from the home side. They however managed to come back in the final and even tied the score at 70 apiece. Then both teams exchanged baskets but when Nedim Felec score a triple with 51 seconds to go the visitors took the lead for good. Rahoveci had a chance to go ahead but Howard missed a three-pointer and Ibar held on.
Nemanja Simovic was the top scorer for the winners with 20 points. Nemanja Gavranic did well with 15 and 9 rebounds while Marko Ljujic had a double-double with 11 and 11.
The hosts were led by Justin Gray who had 20 points as Arian Callakaj added 14.
