Quotes after Hapoel Yossi Avrahami Eilat - Ironi Hai Motors Ness Ziona
Hapoel Yossi Avrahami Eilat put on a great effort in their Delasport Balkan League debut, winning against Ironi Hai Motors Ness Ziona at home at the city of Eilat, 93:90.
Here is what both sides had to share after the game:
Head coach of Ironi Hai Motors Ness Ziona, Brad Greenberg: "Congratulations to Eilat. They shot the ball well, made clutch buckets. Casey Prather and Ben Carter had very good game. We played better defense in the first half but came up short in the second half. It′s disappointing, but I feel like we made a little progress today."
Davion Berry: "We came up short tonight, we played hard but unfortunately fell by 3 points. I want to thank the Balkan League for putting this league together and giving us another opportunity to play internationally."
Head coach of Hapoel Eilat, Ariel Beit Halahmy: "It was the first home game and it′s very unfortunate that there is no crowd but it was fun, the ability was reasonable and probably beacuse of that time, and like the other teams, we should get better."
"Actually I was surprised, too, from his [Ben Carter] stats but in total it′s a very important season for Ben and he′s one of our important Israelis. I really hope that he wiil keep this ability, I′m not expecting stats of 20-20 games, but he is very important for us."
Ben Carter (24 points, 12 rebounds): "It was the first game in the Delasport Balkan League, we have been preparing for this for a while. It is good to start with a win, we wanted to finish the game a little bit better. We got sloppy through the end so we need to fix somethings, to work on how to finish games better but i′m proud the way our team fight and it′s a good way to start the league."
