New head coach for Hapoel Gilboa Galil

The winner of Group B in Delasport Balkan League - Hapoel Gilboa Galil will have a new head coach for the game against Maccabi Rishon LeZion on Wednesday. The former player of the team Avishay Gordon takes over Lior Lubin and will be leading Gilboa Galil from now on.

Lubin left in order to become assistant coach at Panathinaikos. He led the team to the first place in Group B of Delasport Balkan League and thus to the game against Maccabi. Lubin was also at the helm of the team back in 2012 and 2013 when they became BIBL champions.

As already mentioned, Gordon is a former player and captain of Hapoel Gilboa Galil and won the Balkan League back in 2012. Since finishing his playing days, he was head coach of Hapoel Galil Elyon in Israeli National League for the last four years. As a player, Gordon has also two season in Maccabi Rishon LeZion so it will be really an interesting and fun fact that his debut against the same club.

Gordon will make his debut already on Wednesday evening. Hapoel Gilboa Galil will visit Maccabi Rishon LeZion and the winner of that game will qualify for the Second Stage of Delasport Balkan League.
