Kumanovo wins in Tivat and moves to a qualifying positon

KK Kumanovo 2009 recorded a crucial win in Delasport Balkan League. Visiting KK Teodo in Tivat, the team managed to take a 90-83 victory which puts them in the Top 4 of Group E. The visitors had the lead for most of the game and at the end managed to hold on to it also thanks to a hot shooting. With that result Kumanovo now moves to a 4-4 record which puts the team in a qualifying position. With a win tomorrow against Ibar, the North Macedonian side will secure its place in the Second Stage even wuth one game left. As for Teodo, this was the last match of the First Stage and with a 4-6 record, the team now will depend on other results in order to know its future in the competition.

The visitors were hot from outside which proved to be the difference tonight. They hit 15 triples from 31 attempts from 3-point line which compared to 7 of 23 for the hosts, was too much to overcome for them.

Kumanovo had had six players scoring in double figures. Aleksandar Andrejevic had a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds as Damjan Robev scored 18 points. Otis Livingston also did well adding 16 points and 6 assists.

The hosts were led by Petar Kusovac who finished with game-high 20 points. Lazar Djurovic added 17 points as Marko Mijovic had 15 and 7 assists.
