Kumanovo is through to the Second Stage

KK Kumanovo 2009 is through to the Second Stage of Delasport Balkan League. The team recorded its second win in two days in Montenegro after beating KK Ibar 82-66. Thanks to that result Kumanovo now has 5-4 record and can't finish worse than third place. Next week Kumanovo will host Beroe in the last match of the First Stage.

Ibar in the meantime suffered another defeat which means that the team no longer has a chance of qualifying. Next week the Rozaje side will visit TFT in Skopje but even with a win will finish 5th due to having a tie-breaker disadvantage against Teodo.

Kumanovo won all four of the quarter with the most advantage being built in the second one. Being two points up the visitors played well to take a 9-point advantage at the break and they managed to hold on after it.

The visitors were led by Otis Livingston who had 24 points and 7 assists for the win. Aleksandar Andrejevic again had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds as Damjan Robev scored 10 points.

Amin Hot was close to a triple-double for the home side finishing with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Eldin Huremovic was the only other player to end in double figures scoring 10 points.
