Igor Gjiorgjievski: Getting to Stage 2 of Delasport BIBL is a success for us

Since Igor Gjiorgjievski took over KK Kumanovo 2009 doesn't know the taste of defeat both in North Macedoninan championship and in Delasport Balkan League. The young coach has five wins in a row with the team which were also part of the run that qualified them for Stage 2 of the international competition. Now that Kumanovo is in the next stage, there's no doubt the squad is also aiming to qualify for the Final Four as stated by Gjiorgjievski in an interview for ekipa.mk:

"I'm really thankful for being given the chance to be a part of the coaching staff in Kumanovo. When I took over from Vladimir Mirkovski I just asked the board for time and the players for support and things went well for us. I'm happy with what we have as players and with the way they've been working both in training and in the games. I don't want to make changes in the roster for now but we'll see what the time will tell. For now we'll stay with the same roster.

For us, qualifying for Stage 2 of Delasport Balkan League is a success. There's no reason however not to aim for the Final Four if we'll have the chance. I'm really thankful to the board and to the players as for the moment everything is going well for us."

KK Kumanovo will start its Stage 2 in the competition with a home game against Akademik Plovdiv on March 3rd.
