Hapoel Galil Elyon to join Delasport Balkan League

One more team from Israeli is on the verge of joining Delasport Balkan League for the new season. Hapoel Galil Elyon has received all the documents for registration and once they have done it, and the confirmation of the federation is received, the team will officially join the competition.

The Sports Director Mr. Shay Shtriks is very happy and proud to have Hapoel Galil Elyon in Delasport Balkan League. He had the privilege to be one of the referees in the historical final game of season 1992/1993 when the team led by the young coach Pini Gershon won its first and only title of Israel. At that time it was the first club not from Tel Aviv to win the championship ending Maccabi Tel Aviv's 23-year winning streak. Mr. Shtriks added also that the cooperation between Delasport Balkan League and Hapoel Galil Elyon will be great and all parties will have great benefits from it.

Hapoel Galil Elyon was founded in 1978 and is one of the historic clubs in Israeli. The team has also won two teams the State Cup of Israel while in recent years it was a part of the second division - the National League. After winning it however few weeks ago, Hapoel Galil Elyon will be a part of the top division in the country and Delasport Balkan League as well.
