Akademik Plovdiv signs a rookie center

The Delasport BIBL runner-up from last season - Akademik Plovdiv, announced its first new signing for the new season. The team has added the center Ruot Monyyong for whom it will be the first professional experience in his career.

Monyyong is coming from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where he played in the last two years. In the past season he averaged 11.9 points and 10.9 rebounds in 26 games. In the season before that Monyyong was chosen as the Defensive player of the year in its conference having averaged 2.0 blocks per game.
