Supercup of Kosovo: Peja defeated Sigal Prishtina to advance to the semifinals (video)

The Superderby of Kosovo basketball took place as the first official game of the season. In the Supercup 1/4 final KB Peja managed to defeat KB Sigal Prishtina 83-76 in the capital to advance to the semifinals.

Peja was the better team from the start but in the second quarter Sigal managed to come back and closed the deficit to just 1 at the break. In the third quarter Peja once again pulled away and went up by 12 points but near the end of the game, the home side closed the gap to just 2 points and then to 1. Peja however scored the last 6 of the game to win it.

Arian Qollaku was the top scorer for the winners with 18 points. Dardan Berisha also did well by adding 17 points while Ilter Erdem had 16 and 6 rebounds.

Sigal Prishtina was led by Wendell Mitchell who had 18 points and 4 assists. Muhamedali Janjeva was the next best scorer with 14 as Jan Palokaj added 12 and 6 rebounds.
