Ironi Rain Nahariya leads from start to finish to win in Stara Zagora

Ironi Rain Nahariya won its third straight game in Group B of Delasport Balkan League. The Israeli side defeated BC Beroe 103-67 in its first away game and also took revenge for the loss in the Opening game of the season for both teams. The visitors led from start to finish and never left any doubts about the outcome. That win puts them on a 3-1 record and on Wednesday they'll be looking for another win when visitors Akademik in Plovdiv. Beroe's situation is getting more difficult as the team lost for third time in a row and now has 2-5 record while next week they'll host Sigal Prishtina in another important meeting.

Ironi started in an aggressive way and scored the first 7 points of the game. Soon their advantage reached double-digits at 12-2 and after that the visitors started controlling the contest. Beroe managed to score some baskets and tried to close the gap but couldn't do it and after ten minutes the Israeli team led by 12. Early in the second quarter the advantage reached 16 points and then went to 18 just before the middle part of the period. After Ohayon scored with 2:42 to play in the half for the first time the difference went over 20 points at 22-43 but the hosts finished better and cut the deficit to 16 at the break. Thanks to an early 11-2 run to start the second half, the visitors increased their advantage to 25 points. Until the end Ironi managed to built an even bigger advantage and cruised on to a convincing victory passing also the 100 points.

Five players scored in double figures for the visitors with Dustin Thomas leading the way with 17 points wihle also adding 9 rebounds. Clarke Rosenberg also did well with 16 and 9 while Niv Ouzan had 14 points.

Anton Cook was the top scorer in the game with 21 points as he led the hosts in scoring. Martin Sotirov contributed with 14 points as Aleksandar Yanev added 13 and 9 rebounds. The Greens were missing Cadarian Raines and Obinna Oleka which proved too much to overcome under the basket where the visitors dominated.
