Boiko Milenkov: The final result is not unexpected due to our injury problems

BC Beroe lost heavily to Ironi Nahariya to move to a 2-5 record in Group B of Delasport Balkan League. The home team missed Raines and Oleka under the basket and had no firepower to fight with its opponent. Here is what the head coach of The Greens from Stara Zagora Boiko Milenkov had to say following the game:

"I think that we would've had problems even if we had our full roster. Unfortunately our problems had an effect on the court and the final result is not unexpected. Our only chance was if they had a bad percentage from 3-point line and if we had a good one but it didn't work out. We played with a team which is not a standart one. We didn't have a tall player under the basket, we had no organization due to that fact and it's really difficult. I can't take any conclusions from this game as we weren't with our full roster. The young players played and fought which is the positive thing from that match. For sure they'll have their role in the future as well. I think that we still have a chance to advance to Stage 2."

Aleksandar Yanev was the only experienced player in Beroe's roster in the game and finished with 13 points. Here are his words after the defeat:

"We tried to be closer to them but Ironi Nahariya is much better than us. We have a lot of injury problems recently as in the last 20 days we are practicing with just 6 people. It's really hard to have some kind of training process and it's much harder to play third game in a row with 6 players. We are in a period in which we have to change something and to have the injured players come back. With 6 players, there's no way we can win games. Delasport Balkan League and the local championship are competitions which the young players can use in moments like this."
