Nebojsa Vidic: We weren't able to take the right decision against their zone

BC Balkan fought hard but came up short against Hapoel Nufar Energy Galil Elion after a really bad third quarter. After the game the head coach of the Botevgrad team Nebojsa Vidic, had this to say;"For sure we lost the game in the third quarter when we scored just 3 points. We weren't able to take the right decision against their matchup zone. This is the short explanation of what happened. In the first half we did a really good job as we were following the plan that we had for the game. We were ready for everything but definitely when something new comes up, we need some time to read it and to punish it. The time however is just 20 minutes. That was the reason for our loss.
In the second half they changed the defense and we needed to read it better. We need to move the ball in the right way, to take more responsibility, to play fast basketball and to have open shots. We were having a hard time to find shots and when we did, we didn't make them."
The captain Dimitar Dimitrov had 7 points and 3 assists for Balkan and here is what he had to say after the defeat:
"It's clear that we lost the game in the third quarter. Against a great time such as Hapoel, we can't let that happen if we want to win. We are having such letdowns in Bulgarian league as well so we need to tighten up and start playing better. The games last 40 minutes and we need to be at 100% for the whole time in order to win. We need to start playing with more freedom and calmness. Our biggest problem is the offense. In the third quarter we scored just 3 points. I hope that'll starting playing more loose and our offense will start running well. I think we are playing good on defense but to win a game we also need a good offense."
