Maccabi Next Urban Haifa suffered its third loss since the start of the season after being beaten away by Balkan to move to a 2-3 record. Here is what the head coach of the Israelis Avi Soucar had to say following the match:

”First of all it was a very physical game. We played against a physical team who played with a high tempo. We didn't match up good on defense, we lost concentration a lot of times, they had a high percentage of 3pts, that was the key of the game.

Overall I am proud of my players. They did everything they could with a lot of effort, but still we're gonna learn from that. We're gonna watch the video and we're gonna come different on Friday for sure.

We made 19 turnovers, which is way too much, but also that was the main problem, because we did not match up on a high tempo game. We did not control the tempo. It was very hard like that, but we're gonna learn from that and for sure we're gonna fix it.

We can surprise Balkan, but we still need to stick to our game plan and it will be different. All we need to do is stick to our game plan. We did not do it today. We need to play the game more slowly and concentrated.

All the teams are tired now. We are short on roster, but Balkan too. But that’s part of the league. We need to deal with that. We have to recover tomorrow and then come on Friday differently.”
