Ironi Rain Nahariya holds off Sigal Prishtina to finish first

Ironi Rain Nahariya is the winner of Group B of Delasport Balkan League. The Israeli side defeated KB Sigal Prishtina 83-74 at home in a direct battle for the first place. Both teams needed a win to finish on top and the hosts managed to overcome the opponent thanks to a better final quarter. With that result they finished with 8 wins and 2 losses while Sigal is second with 6-4 as both teams qualify for Stage 2.

In general, the game was close and even with both teams exchanging baskets and leads. Before the final quarter the hosts led by just a point but that’s when they improved their defense even more after allowing 48 points in the first half and then just 16 in the third period. The visitors were close but when the hosts hit two triples in a row, they went up by 9 points in the middle of the quarter and soon the difference reached 11. After that there was no comeback for the visiting side and Ironi held on for the win.

Dustin Thomas was the top performer for the hosts with 19 points and 9 rebounds as Stephaun Branch added 15 points.

The visitors were led by Dachon Burke who had 21 points and 5 rebounds as Lejson Zeqiri scored 14 points.
