Ironi Rain Nahariya suffered a defeat at the hands of Balkan in its second game of Group D of Delasport Balkan League which put the team at 3-1 record. Below you can find what the head coach of the team Shai Segalovich had to say:

“It was a tough game against a tough team that had a good moment also in their local league and to come here and expect to win and get 87 points we did not find a way to win this game although we stopped them in the last 3 minutes, It was 78-73, but then we got a 3 points shot, a big ones from Washington.

We need to learn from this game because against this team we need to come out as an underdog in the first quarter and then a little bit we were confused that we were a favourite, then we let their confidence back and they are a good team. We came with the right mood as an underdog against a team that belongs to the first division in Bulgaria and then it was like 12 points difference. We were a little bit confused that they are not a tough team or a good team to beat us and at that moment they scored 27 and 29 nine in the second and the third quarter. We did not do our job in defence.

First of all our goal is to finish first. We need to win the next two games against Maccabi Haifa and then Balkan who come to our court. We need to win these games to finish first. In the final 4 it’s new cards.”
