A busy week ahead in Delasport Balkan League

Three games are about to be played in Delasport Balkan League this week. As we are already in Stage 2 all of them have a huge importance for the Final 4 battle and are expected to be close and interesting.

We tip-off today as KB Sigal Prishtina will host Hapoel Nufar Energy Galil Elion. The home side has three new players compared to Stage 1 so they are expected to be better. All of that means that Sigal will go all out for the win and will try to secure it in order to have a chance of finishing 1st in Group C. Hapoel of course start as a favorite as the team is doing well in Israeli league as well and has a lot of good and quality players. The team will count on a successful game in order to start well and clear its path to the first place.

On Wednesday we have Hapoel visiting Akademik Plovdiv. The home team needs desperately the win because of the big loss to Levski in their first game. Only a win will keep Akademik’s chances of finishing in top 3 so the players of Yordan Yankov will need to perform to their best in order to have that chance. Hapoel may eventually suffer from fatigue due to the traveling and the game on Monday so that could be the chance for the Plovdiv side.

The last game of the week sees TFT hosting Balkan. It will be the first game of Stage 2 for the home side so they’ll be looking to start on a high. They entered Group D with 0-2 record so in order to keep their chances alive, they really need that win. Balkan on the other side had a great win over Ironi Nahariya last week but suffered a heavy loss as Stanimir Marinov is out until the end of the season. That means that the other players will need to step up even more so the match against TFT is their first chance to do so in BIBL. They will be fighting for the first place in the group so a win in Skopje is really needed.
