The battle for the first place in Group C and thus a direct qualification to the Final Four will continue until the final game. That is certain after Sigal Prishtina defeated BC Levski 2014 at home 66-63 to make it three teams with 3 wins in the group. The Kosovo side has one game less, so it has 3-1 record while Levski and Hapoel Nufar Energy Galil Elion are tied with 3-2 record. Next week Sigal will visit first Hapoel and then Levski when the positioning in the group will be decided. In Kosovo’s capital The Blues from Sofia did very well in the first half but after scoring just 23 points in the second thanks to the great defensive effort by the hosts, Sigal managed to make the comeback.

Levski opened the game with 7-2 run before Sigal responded with 7-0 to take the lead. It didn’t last long as The Blues went on a run of 8 points in a row and played better until the end of the first quarter to take an 8-point edge. The second was pretty even as the teams were exchanging baskets and the visitors were leading. That’s why it was no surprise that at the break the difference was the same – 8 points in favor of Levski.

The hosts went out on the court a different team in the third period, so they started cutting the deficit. They played much better defense and were able to take the lead thanks to it. That happened with a 12-1 run to go up by 5 points but the visitors responded well to tie the score at 54 after 30 minutes. The last quarter started nervous for both sides s for the first five minutes there were just 3 points scored by the home team. Sigal continued to play better so soon the lead went to 7 points with 3 minutes to play but Levski didn’t give up and cut the gap to just 3. They forced a turnover by the hosts and had the ball with 12 second to go and were able to make two free throws. The hosts did the same on the other end but still the visitors had a shot to tie. Joshua Parker was the one to take it but he missed a triple and Sigal celebrated.

Four players scored in double figures for the home team with Lejson Zeqiri leading the way with 19 points. Jan Palokaj also did well as he had 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

The visitors missed Mario Little in this game and Ventsislav Petkov was the team’s top scorer for the team wit 13 points as Joshua Parker had 12 and 4 assists.
