Three new players for Maccabi Next Urban Haifa before the playoffs
Mitchell brings a lot of experience to Maccabi

Maccabi Next Urban Haifa is the last team to register new players for the final part of Delasport Balkan League season. The Israeli side, which has had a campaign with ups and downs, signed three new players right before the transfer deadline in the competition. Achraf Yacoubou, Admon Gilder and Tony Mitchell have been added to Maccabi’s roster and will try to help the team reach the Final 4. The Israeli squad will finish 2nd or 3rd in Group D and will be playing in the playoffs in order to reach the finals of BIBL.Yacoubou plays as a guard and was a part of teams in Dominican Republic and Mexico at the end of 2021. He did very well with Titanes in Domican Republic averaging 15.7 points and 6.1 rebounds in 24 games.
Gilder is also a guard and played for two teams so far this season. He started in Finnland being a part of Lahti and averaged 19.6 points and 5.4 rebounds in 7 games. Then he moved to Spojnia in Poland and had averages of 19.1 points and 5.5 rebounds in 18 games. He also had a solid NCAA career playing first for Texas A&M and then for Gonzaga in his final season.
Maccabi also added a frontcourt player in Mitchell who was picked 37th in the draft of 2013 by Detroit. He has had a solid career after and is coming from few months in Uruguay. He played for two teams there and averaged 12.3 points and 9.4 rebounds in 14 games.
