Hapoel Nufar Energy Galil Elion advances to the Final 4

Hapoel Nufar Energy Galil Elion is the second team to secure its place in the Final 4 of Delasport Balkan League. That happened tonight after the team defeated KB Sigal Prishtina at home 95-84. Thanks to that result the Israelis moved to 4-2 record and have the tiebreaker advantage over both Levski and Sigal who are now with 3-2 and will play on Thursday in Sofia to determine which team will finish second and which third. In today's game it was thanks to a strong first quarter that the home team pulled ahead, and until the end of the game they controlled the score and got the win with the difference they needed.

The start of the match was pretty even before a 12-2 run put the home side ahead by 14 points. It went down to 11 after ten minutes but thanks to a strong defense in the third quarter, Hapoel led by 19 at the break. In the second half the visitors tried hard for a comeback but the home side stopped every effort they had to cut the deficit by a lot and held on for a victory which qualified them to the F4.

Nimrod Levi was the top performer for the winners finishing with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Chavaughn Lewis was the only other player in double figures as he scored 17.

The visitors were led by Jan Palokaj who had 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists as Wendell Mitchell had 18 points.
