BC Balkan defeated KB Sigal Prishtina at home by 19 points difference which was enough for the team to qualify for the Final 4 of Delasport Balkan League. Here is what head coach Nebojsa Vidic had to say following the win:

“The difference between the different levels in every sport is the intensity. When we stepped it up and accelerated our play, I think we gave no chance to Sigal Prishtina to win the game. That was the key. In the first half they were changing defenses and we didn’t respond well. This is why we suffered. Me and my players though, were feeling that we can win that game.

Before the trip to Prishtina I spoke to the players. They know our schedule, I reminded them about it and about the fact that if we qualify, we would have a game on May 1st, on the next day we’ll come back and then play Akademik Plovdiv on 3rd. So I asked the players whether we were going to fight to go to the Final 4 and they said – yes. I’m always behind my players with all the consequences.

We are Balkan. I cant say what we can do in the Final 4. There could be three teams from Israel or two from Israel and two from Bulgaria. For sure it will be difficult. The gym in Nahariya is really a tough spot to play in. They are a good team with former Euroleague player and a very good coach. They will be ready to win the trophy. The other team from Israel – Hapoel Nufar Energy Galil Elion is among the top 5 in the first league. It will be difficult but we are going there to play basketball.”
