Delasport Balkan League congratulates FIBA for the 90th anniversary

The international basketball governing body - FIBA - is celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2022.

Delasport Balkan League congratulates FIBA on the occasion and on behalf of the whole management team is sending great regards to the great organization FIBA is.

We would like to express our utmost joy in partnering with FIBA throughout all 14 seasons of Balkan League.

FIBA was founded on June 18, 1932 and this year, is celebrating its 90th anniversary. The association was founded in Geneva, two years after the sport was officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Its original name was Fédération Internationale de Basketball Amateur. Eight nations were founding members: Argentina, Czechoslovakia, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Portugal, Romania and Switzerland. At the 1936 Summer Olympic Games in Berlin, FIBA named James Naismith (1861-1939), the founder of basketball, as its Honorary President.
