Overtime thriller in Peja sent Hapoel Beer Sheva on top

Amazing overtime win sent Hapoel Beer Sheva/Dimona to the top of Delasport Balkan League for the 2022 end.

The Israeli team is now 5-0 and gave the first loss to KB Peja in the final game for the year - 89-88.

The game-winner was scored by Igor Koulechov with 1.4 seconds on the clock in the overtime.

The game was a nail-biter from the start and happened exactly as expected - a real derby.

After 9 changes of the lead and 5 ties, it came to 77-77 at the end of regulation.

Peja won the first quarter but in the second Hapoel Beer Sheva overturned it and led at the break with 37-36.

The Israeli team seemed in control in the second half but Peja never gave up and a superb shot by Rodney Purvis tied it at 77-77.

It was very close in the overtime as well, before the decisive shot by Koulechov.

David Efiyani scored 17 for the win, 13 apiece added Koulechov and Ben Moore, as Moore also got 10 rebounds.

Purvis had 26 for Peja, 18 with 16 rebounds had Khaliq Spicer.
