Hapoel Beer Sheva handed second loss to KB Peja to remain on top

Hapoel Beer Sheva had a superb first half to record another Delasport Balkan League win - 88-81 against KB Peja.

The Israeli team remains on top of the table with 9 wins and Peja is second with 7-2 record.

This was also the first loss of KB Peja new coach Rami Hadar since he took the reigns of the Kosovo team.

Hapoel left not many doors opened for the visitors in the first half. The hosts took an early lead and with a great second quarter went into the break with 50-30.

KB Peja came out flying for the second half and cut the lead in half in the third quarter.

Beer Sheva reaction was quick and the hosts handled the situation to stay on top.

Greg Wittington managed 20 points for the win, Khalil Ahmad added 18.

Larry Thomas had 16 for Peja, and David Joseph added 16 with 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
