"The Final Four of DelaSport Balkan League that will be played in the last weekend of April 2023 marks the 15 years of BIBL. Since 2008 the League has been providing to the local and foreigners players, youngsters seniors, the possibility to play international games and show their skills and talents; to the clubs in the Balkans the possibility to participate in an International league with reasonable budgets, and everything with the official approval of FIBA, FIBA Europe and the national federations.

15 years of basketball have passed with around 1,200 games and teams from Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonian, Romania, Serbia, Israel, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.

A League that was believed to ” exist only 6 months” now celebrates its 15th anniversary.

The competing for the title of season 2022-23 teams are:

Hapoel Beer Sheva / Dimona (ISR), KK Milenijum Kodio (MNE), KB Peja (KOS), BC Beroe (BUL).

All the teams played 10 games from 12 in the regular season and the fourth team KK Milenijum Kodio joined the F4 from the 5th place after BC Budivelnik stopped the participation in BIBL after the management of the club informed the Balkan League that they do not have financial possibility to continue in the league.

KK Milenijum is one of the youngest teams in Montenegro and is the ONLY team that played all the season with local players and the team earned a lot of respect from all others and BIBL.

Season 2022-23 was the most difficult and challenging season ever. All the teams that participate in the F4 played 10 games from the 12 that was planned. Two teams BC Levski 2014(BUL) and

KB Bashkimi (KOS) were disqualified in the last part of the season as they could not present full team roster and BIBL cannot confirm that teams will play in the league having games the result of which is known before the game start. BC Budivelnik stopped the participation in the last part of the season which forced the league to cancel few games in the last part.

I am sure that whatever happened during the season the Final Four which will take place the first time in the city of Stara Zagora with BC Beroe as the hosting team will be quality one with interesting games and we will have professional and high level basketball event and great final game on Sunday 30.04.23.

I would like to send big thank you to the Municipality of Stara Zagora and all the city leaders that supported our idea to have the first time a big international basketball event in the city and to BC Beroe president Mr. Vasil Kifev that did his best to support our idea and he has big part in the F4.

I want to send thank you to all the teams that played and participating in the F4 - team members, Coaches, Players; to all the commissioners and referees that provided every game the best of them and I am happy that no game this season was decided because of referees. I would like to thank all the local federations and leagues for the full cooperation; our partners - Segev Systems from Israel, Scannex and Arnon Kamil; our media partners Sport 5, RTK, TV1 Bulgaria, MNE Sport
