Peja gave no chance to Levski 2014
KB Peja recorded 6th straight win in group B in SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. They visited BC Levski 2014 in Sofia and led from start to finish to end with 90-66 victory. The Yellows controlled the game and practically teached their younger opponents a good lesson. This result means that Levski will finish fourth in the group and will play in the Qualification Round for the Top 8. Peja had secured the top spot even before this match but still gave their best and won. In the last round of the group Levski will host Teodo while Peja will play against Lovcen.
Peja had a great start and led 11-0 after five minutes. Levski′s first basket came shortly after that but still they couldn′t cut their deficit and the visitors had 18-points advantage after ten minutes. In the second quarter the game was even as Levski was trying to close the gap. The Blues did it and cut to 11 but Peja responded with 7-0 run. The last basket in the half was for the home side but still the difference at the break was 16.
In the third quarter Levski again was trying to close the gap and finally managed to cut it to single digits with 3.30 to go. They cut the deficit to 9 but Peja responded quickly and finished the quarter on a 13-2 run to go up by 20. That run decided the outcome and in the last quarter the visitors just finished off the game.
Drilon Hajrizi was the top scorer for the winners with 25 points. Nenad Delic had 18 and 8 rebounds while Ronald Davis scored 15 points.
Angel Peychinov scored 14 points for the hosts as Evgeni Hadzhirusev added 13.
