Delasport BIBL: Thank you, Akademik Plovdiv!

On Wednesday evening Akademik Plovdiv played its last game of Delasport Balkan League's season. The team lost to Hapoel Nufar Energy Galil Elion in Israel and finished Stage 2 with 1-5 record. All of that means that Akademik won't be able to continue to the next stage and won't be able to try and reach the final in the competition for second year in a row.

Still it was a good season for Akademik, especially in the first few months. Then injuries and illness took their toll on the team's performance and the players couldn't find their form in Stage 2. The Plovdiv side had five wins in Stage 1, with four of them coming in their first five games, but couldn't get a single one in the Second Stage 2 which led to the elimination. Nevertheless there were some good games to remember so the team can look back with pride on the season.

Now the management of Delasport Balkan League would like to say: Thank you, BC Akademik Plovdiv, for participating in season 2021/2022!
